Sharing copyrighted lyrics, chord charts, or arrangements without authorisation — even for personal use purposes — may constitute infringement.

Copyright owners or their authorised agents may submit a copyright complaint if they believe content shared on Cheat Smart infringes their rights. To submit a complaint, please use the "Report Copyright Issue" option available on any shared song, or contact us directly.

Your complaint should include:

• Your full name and contact information
• A description of the copyrighted work you claim is being infringed
• Identification of the infringing material on our platform
• A good-faith statement that the use is not authorised
• A statement confirming the accuracy of your complaint

When a copyright complaint is submitted:

• The reported song is temporarily placed under review and access is restricted
• The uploader is notified that a complaint has been received
• Our team reviews the complaint and the content
• We may hide, disable, or permanently remove the content
• We may contact the uploader for a response or explanation
• We will notify the complainant of the outcome

Cheat Smart takes a firm stance on repeat infringement. Users who repeatedly share infringing content may be subject to:

• A formal written warning
• Temporary suspension of sharing privileges
• Permanent suspension of their account
• Termination of their account and all associated data

We maintain logs of all copyright complaints and actions taken, and may use this information to enforce our repeat infringer policy.
